2 The Port of Anacortes strives to recognize employee service, skills, and accomplishments and the need to be competitive with other employers, and to administer salaries in a nondiscriminatory manner that complies with federal and state laws and regulations. We conduct a comprehensive salary and benefits survey every five years to ensure we are accomplishing this goal. Salaries

4 The Port of Anacortes offers a comprehensive benefits package including, and far beyond insurance coverage. Benefits

5 Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits  Medical: Regence BlueShield Innova PPO $500/$1500  Dental: MetLife Preferred  Vision: VSP Signature  Employee Costs  Employee Only: $0/month  Employee + Spouse: $20/month  Employee + Family: $40/month

6 Additional Insurance  Group Term Life Insurance: $75,000 coverage  Long Term Disability Insurance: 60% of your earnings  Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance

7 Paid Time Off  Vacation: 2-5 weeks/year, based on years of service  Sick Leave: 12 days/year  Holidays: 10 days/year + 2 personal leave days  Exchange Time/Comp Time: Additional time off for overtime hours worked  Additional days off for bereavement and jury duty

11 The Port of Anacortes participates in the Department of Retirement Systems’ (DRS) Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS). There are two PERS plans currently offered. Retirement

12 DRS PERS Plan Options Plan 2 Guaranteed Lifetime Benefit 2% x service credit years x average final compensation Plan 3 Guaranteed Lifetime Benefit 1% x service credit years x average final compensation Investment Program Selected and contributed to by member Retirement

13  The Port contributes to the employee’s retirement plan, regardless of plan choice. (Currently 9.21%)  Employees are vested after 5 years of service credit with Plan 2 or 10 years with Plan 3.  Health care coverage is available after retirement.

14 Retirement  Plan 2 Example 2% x service credit years x average final compensation Defined Benefit: If you worked full time every month for 15 years and your average pay for your highest consecutive five years was $4,000, your benefit would be $1,200. 2% x 15 service credit years x $4,000 average final compensation = $1,200 monthly retirement benefit

15 Retirement  Plan 3 Example 1% x service credit years x average final compensation Defined Benefit: If you worked full time every month for 15 years and your average pay for your highest consecutive five years was $4,000, your benefit would be $600. 1% x 15 service credit years x $4,000 average final compensation = $600 monthly retirement benefitPLUS Defined Contribution: Dollar amount is dependent on how your investments perform in the investment program of your choice.

16 Deferred Compensation  The Washington State Deferred Compensation Program (DCP) is an optional supplemental retirement savings program.  You decide how much you want deducted from each paycheck and where you want your money invested.  No federal income taxes are withheld from your contributions.
