3 Midpoint Formula The midpoint of a segment is the point in the middle that divides the segment into two equal parts. The Midpoint Formula:

4 Find the midpoint: (-11, -3), (2, -5)

5 Examples: Find the midpoint: 1.(2, 5), (4, 12) 2. (-9, -4), (2, -8) 3. (-11, 7), (8, -3)

6 Find a missing coordinate when distance is given: (-3, 2), (7, b); d = 10

7 Examples: (3, 2), (b, -9); d = 11 (b, 2), (3, -1); d = √58
