1 { Aerospace Engineering By: Mara Yella Drafting Class An airplane in the middle of production

2 Aerospace engineers work with aircrafts, space crafts, and other tools related to finding new information about space. The following are some projects that aerospace engineers could work on.  Aerospace engineers could build robots and drones that go to other planets to explore and collect data.  Aerospace engineers could create new airplanes, jets, or helicopters for commercial or military use, that travel faster or have new features that improve their performance.  Aerospace engineers could also develop better space crafts that would take astronauts or equipment up into space. What do Aerospace Engineers do?

3 Aerospace engineering is part of the major engineering disciplines of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.  This is because aerospace engineers need to be familiar with mechanical processes to be able to design, build, or improve aircrafts, space crafts, and other machines.  Also, an aerospace engineer would have to know how to apply electronics to the projects they work on. (Electrical systems that would need to be operable to be able to use the aircraft, space craft, or machine.) Part of the Major Engineering Disciplines Two engineers working with 3D computer modeling Aerospace engineers working on the turbine/jet engine

4  The average salary of an aerospace engineer varies between about $65,000 and $149,000 with and average of about $103,000.  To become an aerospace engineer a person would need to have at least a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or in another engineering field.  Aerospace engineers can, at times, work on military or national defense projects for which they may need more job experience or higher level of qualification.
