6. 6 Costa Questions Define: state the meaning of Describe: report the characteristics or events Define “cell.” Define “variable.” Describe the cell. Describe how you turn a word expression into an algebraic expression.

7. 7 Costa Questions Explain: make clear by describing in detail or revealing facts or ideas Infer: figure out from evidence, rather than from explicit statements. Explain why cells divide.
