Analysis of the Correlation between Core Stability and Sport Performance Martina Dalla Libera¹, Giuseppe Coratella¹, Federico Schena¹ ²  1. Department of Neuroscience and Kinesiology, University of Verona, Verona 2. CeRiSM, University of Verona, Rovereto

2 Methods Subjects Core Stability Test (Nesser 2008, Nesser 2011)
50 healthy students (30 ♂ 20 ♀; age: 20.6 ± 1.4 years) Core Stability Test (Nesser 2008, Nesser 2011) - McGill Test Performance’s Test - Standing Long Jump - Star Excursion balance Test - Medicine Ball Throw - Accuracy tennis ball Throwing Performed twice (REL: 0,926; p: 0,000) (REL: 0,992; p: 0,000) Foto “Pitch” baseball? Basket? (REL: 0,914; p: 0,000) (REL: 0,924; p: 0,000) (REL: 0,789; p:0,000)

3 Results Statistical analyses
Statistical software: SPSS 16.0; Chicago, ILL. Statistical significance: p≤0.05. - Intra Class Coefficient (Cronbach α) used to test measurements reliability; - Pearson correlation coefficient used with multiple bivariate correlations.

4 Conclusions High reliability in each test;
Core Stability correlated with strenght-power tests (Scibek 2001, Nesser 2008, Nesser 2011, Sharrock 2011); No correlation McGill test - Star Test (Sato 2009 VS Myer 2005) Correlation between Side Bridge – Dynamic Accuracy Throwing
