2 Sam 12.9 Why have you despised the word of the LORD, to do what is evil in his sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and have taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.

2 Sam 12.10-12 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’ Thus says the LORD, ‘Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house…

2 Sam 12.10-12 And I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun. For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel and before the sun.’”

2 Sam 12.13-14 David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” And Nathan said to David, “The LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die. Nevertheless, because by this deed you have utterly scorned the LORD, the child who is born to you shall die.”

Galatians 6.7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

Hosea 8.7 For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.

2 Sam 12.15-16 And the LORD afflicted the child that Uriah's wife bore to David, and he became sick. David therefore sought God on behalf of the child. And David fasted and went in and lay all night on the ground.

2 Sam 12.21-23 Then his servants said to him, “What is this thing that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive; but when the child died, you arose and ate food…”

2 Sam 12.21-23 He said, “While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept, for I said, ‘Who knows whether the LORD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?’ But now he is dead. Why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he will not return to me.”

2 Sam 12.19-20 But when David saw that his servants were whispering together, David understood that the child was dead. And David said to his servants, “Is the child dead?” They said, “He is dead…”

2 Sam 12.19-20 Then David arose from the earth and washed and anointed himself and changed his clothes. And he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped.

Psalm 3.1-2 O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; many are saying of my soul, there is no salvation for him in God.

2 Sam 18.33 And the king was deeply moved and went up to the chamber over the gate and wept. And as he went, he said, “O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! Would I had died instead of you, O Absalom, my son, my son!”

Galatians 6.7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

Psalm 3.3-8 But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill.

Psalm 3.3-8 I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.

Psalm 3.3-8 Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.

Psalm 3.3-8 Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people!
