2 (4) The student knows the functions and applications of the tools, equipment, technologies, and materials used in automotive services. The student is expected to: (A) safely use hand and power tools and equipment commonly employed in the maintenance and repair of vehicles; (B) properly handle and dispose of humanly and/or environmentally hazardous materials used in maintaining and servicing vehicles; and (C) demonstrate knowledge of new and emerging automotive technologies. Make a power point of your assigned repair including the tools used to make the repair. Include a new automotive technological advance related to your repair in your power point. Successfully complete your repair during class time. The group given oil change will be responsible for explaining how to dispose of the used oil properly.

3 What Tools Do I Need When CHANGING OIL ON A Vehicle ? Oil filter ranch. Oil drain plug ½ in ranch. Oil pan so the oil can drain in.

4 First you must jack up your car then go under it and stick the oil pan under the oil drain plug. Then take off the drain plug and get back because HOT oil will come out and in to your oil pan.After all the oil is out then you must take off the old oil filter and then put the new one on then put the drain plug back on.Last but not lest add the new oil.

5 The best way to dispose of you oil properly is to put it into milk jugs and take to the nearest oil recycle center.
