ratios of fractions, including ratios of lengths, areas and
other quantities measured in like or different units.
MAFS.7.RP.1.3: Use proportional relationships to solve
multistep ratio and percent problems. Examples: simple
interest, tax, markups and markdowns, gratuities and
commissions, fees, percent increase and decrease,
percent error. (

In ¼ hour, Aaron walks 7/8 mile. What is the rate in miles per hour?

3. Complex fractions
You have decided to remodel your bathroom and put tile on the floor. The bathroom is in the shape of a rectangle and the floor measures 14 ft 8 in long, 5 ft 6 in wide. The tile you wants to use costs $5/each and each tile covers 4 2/3 sq ft. If you only have $100, do you have enough money?
