4 4 TERRITORIAL BASE PAPER (TBP)  Objective: review the current status of reforms and consumer perceptions  Input: base line consumer survey and literature review  Discussion: discussion on the draft during RG meeting  Translation: local vernacular handouts for GIMs  Importance: One of the key outputs of the project to be used for policy advocacy

5 5 TERRITORIAL TRAINING MANUAL (TTM)  Objective Train the local CSOs on policy and regulatory issues in power sector  Key contents Electricity reforms process Regulatory decision-making process Rights and responsibilities of consumers  Importance Highly appreciated by the resource persons Useful and consumer friendly document

6 6 E-NEWSLETTER  Quarterly circulation  Circulation: PAC, RG, Partners, and posting on FunCom as well COLF  Layout of the E-Newsletter o Major news items on policy and regulatory developments  Format and content was appreciated by key PAC members and well as other readers

7 7 NETWORKING AND OUTREACH  RESA web page: effective communication tool o http://www.cuts-ccier.org/RESA/index.htm http://www.cuts-ccier.org/RESA/index.htm  Regular updations: publications, event reports, media clips  Use of vernacular versions for the better outreach  Networking among various stakeholders such as policy makers, regulators, utilities, CSOs has increased

8 8 ADVOCACY INITIATIVES  Active involvement of policy makers, media and regulators  TBP was shared with RG/PAC Member comprise of policy makers, regulators as well as utility representatives  All partners and associated local CSOs participated in public hearings and consultation process  Key systematic problems have been recorded from the GIMs I and would be discussed with relevant authorities

9 9 WAY FORWARD  Further improve communication channel among stakeholders  Answers to the systematic problems of consumers  Strengthening the further networking  Wider dissemination of project findings  Replicate the success in other territories
