3 Common Core Standards What are they? -Clear, consistent guidelines for what every student should know from Kindergarten through 12 th grade. -Drafted by experts and teachers from across the country -Designed to ensure students are prepared for freshman-level college courses, entry-level careers, and workforce training programs -Focus on critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills (Development Process, 2010)

10 Your group will be assigned one of the Effective Instructional Practices. On the chart paper at your table, explain how this practice would look in the classroom. Hang your chart paper on the bookshelves in the front of the Media Center when you have finished. You will have approximately ten minutes to complete. We will share our ideas when we have finished.
