Justifiable Homicide Part 1 Romans 8:12-14
Grace Community Church February 10, 2008

Romans 8:12 12 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. We are debtors to Christ… 1 Corinthians 6: Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Romans 8:13 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Those “In Christ” who live according to the flesh will be cast away. Those “In Christ” who live according to the flesh will die prematurely. 1 Cor. 11:27-31 & 1 John 5:16-17 Those who live according to the flesh give evidence they are not “In Christ”. John 14:21-24 & James

John 14:21-24 21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.

Romans 8:13-14 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

1 Corinthians 11:27-31 27 Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself. 30 That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died. 31 But if we judged ourselves truly, we would not be judged.
