MD8430A DEMO CONFIGURATION

Demo Procedure 1 - Full stack data testing The demonstration scenario will show the following:  Full attach and default bearer setup under fading conditions  Attach will include: TX diversity signalling Full Security –Authentication –NAS ciphering and Integrity using SNOW 3G –RRC/AS ciphering and Integrity using SNOW 3G MIMO data channel using fading to achieve full throughput  Full Category 3 100/50Mbps IP data using TCP, UDP or streaming  Interactive script design to show run time user interaction User can change resource allocation, number of RB, MCS for UL and DL All RF measurements can be made using MS269xA on UL and DL User can change data rates by corrupting DL CRC or sending user configurable PHICH pattern  UE detach from network

Demo Procedure 1 - Full stack data testing Clicking user event buttons changes MAC configurations Messages Sequence and decodes can be viewed on runtime MSC

Demo Procedure 1 - Full stack data testing Quick and easy L3 message parameterisation for sending RRC/NAS messages Automatic generation of security encryption and integrity

Demo Procedure 1 - Full stack data testing Quick and easy L3 message parameterisation for receiving RRC or NAS messages to create message constraints Automatic checking of NAS and AS security Message mismatch node for checking of message constraints Integrated message timeout When triggered procedure will Exit on TO node

Demo Procedure 1 - Full stack data testing Fading is demonstrated on the MIMO channel  With fading off the UE achieves 50% data rate as there is no multipath to achieve MIMO independent channels  RF Spectrum shows fading as power variations with time and frequency  Constellation of DL also shows phase and amplitude changes Power Vs RB view Shows bitmap Allocation Constellation shows amplitude and phase variations caused by fading

Demo Procedure 1 - Full stack data testing Trace viewer for detailed message analysis in run time

Demo Procedure 1 - Full stack data testing Post process of binary log for detailed DL and UL analysis Analysis contains very detailecd information on a TTI/TTI basis

Demo Procedure 1 - Full stack data testing Using the Measurement capability of the RTD we can view the effects of the RTD user events on L1 and L2 This will also be viewed on the Analyser and IP data rate

Demo Procedure 2 – RLC AM L2 testing RTD has a comprehensive L2 testing library Using the L2 procedures and codec users can exercise every aspect of MAC, RLC and PDCP The demo shows how to test various aspects of RLC Acknowledged mode using 3GPP defined UE loopback mode This allows quick and easy creation of 36.523 variation without the need for TTCN3 L2 procedures grouped into easily reusable compound procedures Using a combination of scheduling and L2 we can create complex tests quickly and easily PDU generator makes sequence number and header creation simple

Demo Procedure 2 – RLC AM L2 testing

PDU Generator can be used to provide PDCP or RLC PDUs for easy implementation of L2 tests. Multiple Stream modes

Demo Procedure 2 – RLC AM L2 testing Criteria Editor  Allows addition of indicator points in test case  Indicator points can be used as pass of failure  Easy creation of objective testing

Demo Procedure 2 – RLC AM L2 testing User Friendly results view

Demo Procedure 2 – RLC AM L2 testing Standard protocol analyser for detailed debug

Demo Procedure 3 – L3 Procedure Library High level L3 compound procedures can be used to build complex multi cell tests in a short time Compounds are parameterised for easy customisation L3 messages are used to generate control primitives this guarantees alignment between UE and MD8430 Roadmap for L3 procedures available on request Mid level L3 procedures will be based around individual messages for even more flexibility Built from and can be combined with low level procedures for full configuration flexibility

Demo Procedure 3 – L3 Procedure Library

Automation of testing Tests can be sequenced using integrated campaign manager

Automation of testing RTD has a command line interface for automation as a slave application driven by customer test management software RTD has integrated control of UE using AT/MMI commands

Multi-RAT testing From RTD 4.3.1 there is a low level procedure library for testing IRAT between LTE, UTRAN, GERAN and CDMA2000 UTRAN/GERAN LL library uses PTS interface primitives for configuration of MD8480 and L3 messages
