7. As we know there are different states of matter
As we know there are different states of matter. Some of them are solids, that have particles that are packed close together and they have their own shape. Liquids, which particles have a little movement , they don´t have a definite shape and take the shape of the container. And gases,they don´t have a definite shape or volume they spread out and their particles have a lot of energy and a lot of movement.

8. Matter can change from one state to another.
Heat is an energy that can change matter. When temperature goes up, the ice MELTS and turns into watter. NOT everything melts when it heats up.

9. Things can heat up, but they can also cool down!
If you put water into a freezer it turns into ice, when something freezes it looses some of its heat and its temperature goes down. Water freezes at 32 °F or 0°C.

10. Water can turn into a solid but it can also turn into a gas.
When water is boiling steam comes out. When something evaporates, it changes from a liquid to a gas. When you boil water, its temperature goes up and it changes into a gas.

11. AND GAS CAN CHANGE TO LIQUID TOO.
Sometimes you can see some drops out of your cold glass of wáter, it is not because it is leacking out, water vapor, we usually can´t see it, it is in the air. When it touches a cooler surface it can condense into a liquid. That means that a gas changes to a liquid.
