14 1.1 The Scope of Chemistry > 14 Eyewash Station Flushes contaminates from eyes. Procedure: Flush eyes for at least 20 minutes. Hold your eyes open. Rotate your eyeballs.

15 1.1 The Scope of Chemistry > 15 Safety Shower Flush contaminates from skin exposed to hazardous chemicals. Procedure: Stand under shower and engage water. Flush for at least 20 min. Remove contaminated clothing if necessary.

16 1.1 The Scope of Chemistry > 16 Fire Extinguisher Used to put out a fire. Procedure: Notify teacher immediately if there is a fire then use extinguisher to put it out. Hold extinguisher upright and pull the safety pin. Stand back from fire and aim at base of fire. Squeeze handles together and sweep the extinguisher stream side to side.

17 1.1 The Scope of Chemistry > 17 Fire Blanket Used to smother fires. Procedure: If you catch on fire, STOP, DROP, & ROLL. Someone else should grab the fire blanket. Wrap blanket around victim or place over the fire.
