3. What is Earthly Treasure?

4. Matthew 6:1 Be careful not to do your acts of righteousness before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven

5. Romans 1:23 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for imges made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles

6. Why shouldn't I store treasures on earth? You will be wasting your life

7. Matthew 6:19 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

8. 1 Peter 2:11 Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul

9. Matthew 6:22-23 The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

10. Why shouldn't I store treasures on earth? You will be pulled away from God

11. Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also

12. Mark 4:19 But the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful

13. 1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

14. Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”

15. You are working for a treasure in heaven

16. Matthew 6:20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven.

17. John 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent

19. How can I treasure the eternal?

Romans 3:23-24; 6:22 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.

22. Ezekiel 36:26-27; Jeremiah 32:40 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me.
