2. Find The SGC Library’s Main Web Page Go to SGC’s Main Web Page –www.sgc.eduwww.sgc.edu Click on “Library” –Located in the left-hand column

3. Find GALILEOGALILEO Click on “GALILEO ”GALILEO –Located near the center of the page –Galileo is a collection of information databases to which our library subscribes –If you are trying to access Galileo from off- campus you will need the password which can be found on the GIL catalog webpage.

4. Perform Your Search On the Galileo Home Page, click on the “Search” tab Enter your search criteria in the search fields. For example: search keyword “Persepolis” and keyword “Satrapi” Under “Select Search Options” choose “Full text search” and “Peer reviewed” and “All dates.” Under “Choose Databases,” select the recommended databases (Academic Search Complete and Research Library). Click on “Search.”

5. Choose your article Choose articles which pertain to your research only Do not use book reviews

6. Prepare the Annotated Bibliographic Entry Once you have clicked on your chosen article’s title, you will see a citation page. Near the top of the page will be a strip of icons, including a PDF icon, a save file icon, and a yellow icon that looks like a piece of paper. Click on the PDF icon to read or print the article. Click on the Save icon to save the article to your computer. Click on the yellow paper icon to see a list of citation styles. –Find the MLA “Works Cited” entry, and copy and paste it into your paper. Write a paragraph summarizing the article beneath the “Works Cited” entry.

7. Repeat previous steps 4 times You should have a total of 5 entries.
