1 Directions: Slide 2: Print on colored paper. Hamburger fold along center line. Open the fold, and with the valley side up, fold the longer side along the line to make a 2” flap. Place glue on the edges of the flap to make a pocket when the “booklet” is opened. Slide 3: Type a title in one of the title boxes on slide 3. To change the WordArt, right-click on the WordArt and select Edit Text from the drop-down menu that appears. Type labels for the inside pockets in the label boxes on slide 3. Print on white paper. Cut out the boxes and glue on the pocket book cover and inside pockets of the Pocket Book. Optional: Print the slide with empty boxes for students to fill in. Slides 4-6: Each slide has different sized boxes. Duplicate each slide as needed. (To duplicate a slide, select Duplicate Slide from the Insert menu.) To enter text in a box, click on the border of the box to select it and begin typing. Paste a graphic above the text. Optional: print blank boxes and have students write their own text and draw pictures. Print slides on white paper. Text boxes have the text anchor point at the “Bottom” so text will appear below a graphic. To change this settings, right-click on the box, choose Format Text Box, click the Text Box tab and select a different setting.
