The Wornick Company has existing wireless scanning system and is in desperate need to extend the existing system. When material handlers misplace product in the warehouse it can not be found and inventory adjustment is made. This causes discrepancies between the perpetual and physical inventory. The misplaced product is reported as lost in the system. Due to this, material handlers are not able to locate product in the warehouse.

Possible Solution Traffic Traffic Real time inventory movements Real time inventory movements Real time product receiving Real time product receiving Real time product shipping Real time product shipping Cost: $120,000 initial and $20,000 a year Cost: $120,000 initial and $20,000 a year Traffic satisfies the scanning needs for the Wornick company but it is very expensive to implement. The company is not prepared to fund this expense. Traffic satisfies the scanning needs for the Wornick company but it is very expensive to implement. The company is not prepared to fund this expense.

Proposed Solution Self Correcting Inventory System Self Correcting Inventory System Inventory movements and product counting Inventory movements and product counting Security Security Reporting Reporting Application Cost: $0 Application Cost: $0 Self Correcting Inventory System does not provide all the functionalities that Traffic does but in the future this system can be expanded by me or other developers to fulfill the rest of the requirements.

Proposed Solution (cont) Real Time Inventory Real Time Inventory Self correcting inventory system will provide the real time product quantity to the users. Self correcting inventory system will provide the real time product quantity to the users. Users will be able to move product from one location to another location. Users will be able to move product from one location to another location. All the locations at all the warehouses will the tagged with the barcode. All the locations at all the warehouses will the tagged with the barcode. As the user is counting the inventory the system will be match the physical inventory with the system inventory. As the user is counting the inventory the system will be match the physical inventory with the system inventory.

Proposed Solution (cont) Reporting Reporting The self correcting inventory system will generate reports for the warehouse managers to review. The self correcting inventory system will generate reports for the warehouse managers to review.
