7. There once was a dog Who was long like a log, But wasn’t that tall He was really quite small

8. He lost his bone up on a wall He couldn’t reach it because he was so small

9. He cried “I can’t get my bone, its up on the wall. Won’t anyone help me, anyone at all?”

10. Along came a Dane, a great one at that He said, “I will help you, if I get something back.”

11. But the dachshund had nothing, and the Dane went away Won’t anyone help the dachshund today

12. Along came a bulldog all big and all He said, “ If you give me something, I’ll break down the wall.”

13. But, the dachshund had nothing, and the bulldog went away; Won’t anyone help the dachshund today?

14. Along came a Yorkie with his hair all long, He said, “To expect a reward would be very wrong.”

15. He licked his paws and scaled up that wall He came back down with bone in paw

16. “Thank you my friend,” the dachshund did say, “Since you wanted no reward the bone is your pay.”
