4. Overcome indifference and win peace…

6. Standing in that ditch, thousands of miles away, I felt a real connection with the people of East Timor

8. They shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning hooks;

9. I believe that to be silent in this situation is to be complicit with injustice

11. Let us pray…

12. With the help of God’s grace… We will struggle for justice.

13. With the compassion of Christ… We will stand for what is true.

14. With God’s abiding kindness… We will love even our enemies.

15. With the love of Christ… We will resist all evil.

16. With God’s unending faithfulness… We will work to build the beloved community.

17. With Christ’s passionate love… We will carry the cross.

18. With God’s overwhelming goodness… We will walk as pilgrims of peace.

19. With Christ’s fervent conviction… We will labour for truth.

20. With God’s infinite mercy… We will live in solidarity with all people.

21. In the end there are three things that last: Faith, hope, and love; and the greatest of these is love.

22. Let us abide in God’s love… Thanks be to God.
