2. The capital of France is one of the best known cities in the world. The man who designed the Eiffel Tower was Gustave Eiffel Gustave Eiffel was born in Dijon, France Dec 15 th 1832.

On February the 4 th 1912 an Austrian tailor jumped from the height of 60 metres from the first deck of they Eiffel Towers using his home made parachute he fell to his death, his name was Reichelt. Maintenance of the Tower includes applying 50 to 60 tons of paint every seven years. Since 2004 the Eiffel Tower hosted an ice skating rink on the first floor in the winter.

9. Sadly Gustave died in Dec 27,1923 in mansion. The Eiffel Tower is the second tallest building in the world.
