Nest Box Design We got the idea for a nest box tube by reading Cornell’s website and we designed ours using Daniel Merrell’s nest tube design.

Predator Guard We want to put a cone predator guard below our nest boxes to keep the eggs and birds safe from Predators. (like the one in this picture)

Why we would like to have nesting boxes at Palmer: Making nest boxes here at the Palmer Elementary and Windsor Middle School campus would be a great thing because we are giving protection and giving a home for the birds around our area. Also, the students would love being able to view our local birds and learn information about them.
