For students: Higher One offers choice as to how students receive financial aid refund disbursements
Provide more options and faster refund delivery to more than 6 million students
For the college: Higher One streamlines operations and provides efficiency
Serve more than 1,250 campuses around the country
Higher One’s partnership with the school serves two purposes:
1. Helps streamline operations, increase efficiency and increase cost avoidance for the college/business office
2. Improves student services by either providing faster access to disbursement funds or making payments more easily

4. What is the CCTC Card?
Once you receive your card and envelope in the mail, log on to CCTCCard.com to select the refund option of your choice.
Use the card as the tool to select your refund preference.
If you choose Same Day Deposit to the optional OneAccount, the card then becomes a Debit MasterCard linked to that account. More later on how to access and spend the money in the OneAccount. 4

5. Your refund options
Students have THREE (3) FREE refund disbursement options:
Same day deposit to a Higher One checking account
Deposit to a domestic bank account of your choice
Paper check
Regardless of which option you choose, the first step is entering the 16-digit card number on CCTCCard.com. Verify your information, then you are presented with your options:
Same day deposit to the OneAccount –Arrives in your OneAccount the same day Higher One receives it
ACH Direct Deposit --Students will need account & routing number > print a form > student must sign and either fax or mail to Higher One; Disbursements arrive to your account 1-3 days after Higher One disburses it. PRINTED FOR REQUIRED FOR PRIVACY AND SECURITY OF STUDENTS (INK SIGNATURE)
Paper check – arrives in 5-7 days via USPS 5

7. Using the Money in your Higher One checking account for free

Online Bill Pay

Make purchases anywhere MasterCard is accepted
The key word is “credit” not “debit”
Swipe your card and sign the receipt
You won’t be charged a PIN fee
Covered under MasterCard Zero Liability Policy against fraudulent transactions, something you don’t get when entering your PIN
Online Bill Pay
Select “Online Bill Pay” from the sub-menu listed under the Transfers & Payments tab
The Easy Help page provides complete step-by-step instructions on how to Add a Recipient, Schedule One-Time Payments, Edit a Recipient, Delete a Scheduled Payment and Delete a Recipient
Pay a bill/company, another individual and even schedule a one-time payment to yourself.
Transfers: OneAccount to OneAccount
Select Transfer Money from the sub-menu listed under the transfer & Payments tab
Identify the individual to whom you wish to send money by entering their address
Enter the amount and where applicable, select the appropriate account to be debited
Immediately available for spending and completely free
Withdraw cash from Higher One ATMs
Find the closest in service ATM on Easy Help and StudentRefundCard.com.
Insert your card, enter your PIN and select ‘Checking’ and not ‘Credit Card;’ your card is not a credit card, it is a debit card associated with your account
Withdraw up to $500/day 7

8. Avoid fees
The fee schedule is available within one click on ANY page of the banking web site.
First shows services available at NO COST.
Lists the service, the fee, why the fee is assessed and how to avoid it.
