Let’s create a simple Entity List to display leads in the CRM on the Portal A look at some of the various options available for entity lists, extending their functionality Entity List Templating, Map View, Calendar View, and OData feeds

Entity Lists Displaying Lists of items Makes use of Data in the CRM In the form of an Entity List Attached to a web page – A web page displays a View Can have associated details page for viewing or editing data Displayed as a Grid on the Portal Include Link to Edit/View page Filtered via CRM views Contact-Level security via CRM relationship to Contact or Account Records in the CRM filtered and arranged according to a view in the CRM, displayed on the portal

5 Creating a List of Leads
All that’s needed is an Entity List record in the CRM attached to a web page Can use existing views or create new ones

7 List Definition Primary Attributes
Entity Name Name of the Entity that we are displaying on the portal View Defines the CRM view or views that will be used to display the list on the Portal. If multiple CRM views are selected, a dropdown will be available on the portal, allowing the user to switch between views. Page Size # of records displayed per page Search Allows Search to be enabled on the Portal for your list: Enabled Placeholder Text Tooltip Text Enable Entity Permissions If set to true this list will respect Entity Permissions

8 Configuring List Actions
Without any configuration, Entity Lists will be Read-Only by default Configuration can be used to enable actions on individual rows of the List such as Edit Actions can also be enabled for the entire view such as Create or Download (To Excel) The List can also be configured in various other ways For actions to be enabled, Entity permissions MUST be configured for the entities involved and Permissions must be enabled on the list

9 Adds a Delete action to every row in the list
Actions Create Action Details, Edit Actions Delete Action Workflow Actions Adds a create button at the top of the list, which launches an Entity Form of your choosing Adds Read or Edit actions for each row of the list, which launches a specified Entity Form (Read- Only or Edit) Adds a Delete action to every row in the list Adds a button to every row of the list that launches an on- demand workflow. You may add any number of workflows to a List

10 Adding a Custom Details Page
Use the details page, or the custom Create page, to surface any kind of custom page you want for record details, or your create action Adding a Create page will render a create button Adding a view details page will make the primary field (first column) clickable This page can be an Entity Form, Web Form, or a custom page of some kind

11 Entity List Filter Configuration
You can add the ability to filter records on the portal Allows you to guide users to certain records by filtering by important attributes Each possible filter is built separately in the CRM Different filter types are available Text Filter Field (Option Set) Filter Relationship (Related Record) Filter Range Filter FetchXML Filter

12 Portal-side CRM view filtering
Filter by user contact or parent account Build a filter condition into the view, including a filter to match any single contact or account record in the CRM On the portal this contact or account will be replaced with the current user or current user’s parent account

13 Mapping Renders Records that have addresses (corresponding to locations) as Map pushpins Requires Longitudes and Latitudes for each record

14 Calendar View Renders Records that have a date associated with them as a calendar view Must include a single date as a minimum Also supports start and end times, locations, summaries, etc.

15 OData Feed If enabled, an entity can be published to an OData Feed
Feed URL: Supported Query Options, as well as Entity List OData attributes, are documented on the Community Portal
