3 Is there a possibility that God will reject his people (ie, me)? Does God really choose who will be saved? How is it that some people are saved and not others?

6 How do I respond to the sovereign mercy of God? Worship and gratitude v25 “I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people; and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one.” v26 “It will happen that in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’”

7 How do I respond to the sovereign mercy of God? Worship and gratitude Humility and a sense of awe v27 “Though the number of Israelites be like the sand by the sea, only the remnant will be saved. For the Lord will carry out his sentence on earth with speed and finality.” v28 “Unless the Lord Almighty had left us with descendents, we would have become like Sodom, we would have become like Gomorrah.”
