2. Verse 1 O Eternal, Lord of hosts, how my heart cries out for Thee;

3. How my soul longs for Thy courts and for Thy tabernacles dear.

4. As the sparrow finds a home, as the swallow finds a nest,

5. Blest are those who dwell with Thee, O Lord of hosts, my King, my God!

6. Verse 2 In Thy house, Lord, all are blest; they shall ever sing Thy praise!

7. Blest and happy is the man whose strength is in the Lord his God.

8. They all go from strength to strength; all appear before their God;

9. God of Jacob, hear my prayer, O Lord of hosts, my King, my God!

10. Last Verse Now behold, O God, our shield, look on Thine anointed ones;

11. Hear my prayer, O Lord of hosts; O God of Jacob, now give ear;

12. Better one day in Thy house than a thousand days without;
