Offer choices, reinforce word and sign and allow opportunity for children to sort and demonstrate whether they know certain colours Make large size pictures of people who help us Use different sized pens to draw Printing with shapes and sponges to make vehicle and people pictures Moulding- use rollers and cutters in playdough to make vehicle shapes Modelling- make vehicles with junk/recycled materials Use instruments to play with songs Explore instruments to make the various sounds of the vehicles eg sirens, engines Use instruments to go fast and slow Sing and sign to songs related to the theme Learn and enjoy songs and rhymes Engage in role play and imaginary situations in the vehicles. ICT Use art packages eg active inspire to create patterns and pictures and to explore colour. Children to experience different size brushes etc RE/SMSC Chinese New Year Art activities- mask- making, lanterns, dragons, red and gold art. Welsh/Curriculum Cymreig photographs of the special places visited while out of school and those created and experienced in school. Thinking Skills consider what they will need for their creative work and plan for tasks and reflect on what they have produced.
