1. Assessment of Build 1d PDS4 Standards Reta Beebe Dan Crichton

Current Intent The review of PDS4 standards is important in getting both stakeholder feedback as well as advocacy from various teams PDS has now released build 1a, 1b and 1c; build 1d is coming Reviews have occurred on build 1b (internal PDS) and build 1c (IPDA) Build 1d is targeted mainly at selected external data suppliers and system developers Build 2 releases are intended to baseline the standards to support early missions, software releases, and data migration

Purpose of the 1d Review Perform an external review of PDS4 Build 1d documents by selected knowledgeable outsiders to provide comments to: Suggest improvements to documents and their structures Identify any gaps and misaligned priorities Support continued progress by the DDWG Gain advocacy for PDS4

4. Approach to Prepare Review Reuse existing materials and templates for the IPDA review Follow a similar process in holding telecons to brief the teams Provide support from some key DDWG members

Schedule Complete “Build 1d” which will include an incremental delivery of standards documents ready to support the assessment (End of August) Send out assessment worksheet and information to reviewers and hold telecon (End of August) Request responses back by September 15 Report back to MC at October telecon Integrate feedback into Build 2 releases
