2 Ecological Footprint It includes how much land and resources from the earth needed for one person to live Every person has their own unique ecological footprint based on the kind of lifestyle they live

4 Your Task: On the sheet provided, brainstorm in the six categories ideas that would fall into that ecological footprint When you are done, on the back side with the foot, draw the items that you use, consume, throw out. There must be one item from each of the 6 categories

5 Ecological Footprint It is important to calculate our ecological footprint because it allows scientists to estimate the rate at which we are depleting earth of its resources Allows scientists and ecologists to come up with solutions to reduce our consumption and improve the management of our resources
