2. 2 What problems will the proposal solve? ● Labeling and packaging errors represent over one-fifth of all errors voluntarily reported to the OPTN ● Wrong organ delivered or wrong organ/wrong recipient ● Switched kidney laterality ● Limited in-transit and package information

3.  Use technology to reduce and solve these problems  TransNet uses barcode scanning technology for labeling, packaging, and tracking functions  Application works with Android or iOS tablet (recently released) and portable bar code printer  Interacts with DonorNet  Supplements current labeling system  Use in OR to print on-demand labels and scan information on all organ and materials for transport What is the goal of the proposal? 3

4.  TransNet voluntary OPO usage started March 2015  This proposal would make OPO usage mandatory  Would go into effect in June 2017 How does the proposal address the problem statement? 4
