4. TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH BOARD Committee Research Coordinators (CRC) Point person: –Identify or collect research needs; –Collaborate/coordinate with other CRCs; –Coordinate RNS development with attention to –Funding program requirements; –Sponsor needs and interests. –Obtain funding.

5. TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH BOARD Strategic Functions I Early Work within the Committee and between Committees: –Shepherd research concepts into draft RNS; –Distribute draft for peer review; –Monitor draft statement editing process; –Upload final RNSs to database.

10. TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH BOARD The Role of the Committee Success takes a whole standing committee: –Help develop RNS; –Suggest funding sources; –Follow the conduct of research; –Help to communicate the results; –Find publication/presentation venues; –Sharing elsewhere.
