9. Answers What sports did she play at school? Everything - Swimming, rugby, basketball What happened at 16? Involved in a boating accident – right leg off. (well part of it) What happened at university? Watched a track and field practice, and wanted to know her fast she could run. What was she conscious of? Didn’t want anyone to know she was an amputee. Switch legs - got changed out of sight. How does she feel now? Proud of who she is and her leg. Wants to show it off. How does the leg work? A vacuum suction valve – doesn’t fly off. How many types of legs does she have? Every day life, Sports leg, hiking leg, water leg(4?) What did she give up? Medical school, PhDs, 6 months away from her husband.
