Procedure for manufacturing pressure equipment according to 97/23/EC:

3. PED – Which figure 1-9?
Vilken typ av anordning är det? Tryckkärl, panna eller rörledning?
Vilken typ av ämne är det?
Gas=gas i gasfas eller vätskefas (kondenserad t e x gasol), ånga och alla vätskor med ett ångtryck på mer än 0,5 bar övertryck vid den högsta tillåtna temperaturen.
Vätska=vätskor med ett ångtryck av högst 0,5 bar övertryck vid den högsta tillåtna temperaturen.
Vilken ämnesgrupp tillhör ämnet?
Grupp 1=brandfarligt, giftigt eller oxiderande
Grupp 2=alla andra ämnen (t e x frätande)
Baserat på dessa uppgifter väljer man det diagram som är tillämpligt.
För läsning av diagram 1-9:
1-4 (tryckkärl) : PS=högsta tillåtna tryck i bar övertryck resp V=volymen i liter.
5 (kärl med vatten/ånga temperatur mer än 110°C och eldberört eller på annat sätt risk för överhettning, t e x panna eller vissa ångkärl) : PS resp V som ovan.
6-9 (rörledningar) : PS som ovan, DN=nominell diameter eller innerdiameter
