The grinch who stole christmas Every Who Down in Who-ville Liked Christmas a lot... But the Grinch, Who lived just North of Who-ville, Did NOT! The Grinch hated Christmas! The whole Christmas season! Now, please don't ask why. No one quite knows the reason. It could be that his head wasn't screwed on quite right. It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight. But I think that the most likely reason of all May have been that his heart was two sizes too small. Dr. Seuss I chose this poem because I am a very big fan of Dr. Seuss and I use to read all of his poems when I was younger and read all of his books. I like the why it flows and rhymes especially this one. Home

Green eggs and ham Dr. Seuss I am Sam Sam I amThat Sam-I-am! Than Sam-I-am! I do not like that Sam-I-am!Do you like green eggs and ham?I do not like them, Sam-I-am. I do not like green eggs and ham. I picked this poem because I always thought it was very funny the way it sounded. It has always been one of my favorites and I love to eat green eggs and ham. Home

Horton hears a who? Dr. Seuss “Because, after all, a person’s a person, no matter how small.” “I’ll find it!” cried Horton. “I’ll find it or bust! I SHALL find my friends on my small speck of dust!” “We’ve GOT to make noises in greater amounts! So, open your mouth, lad! For every voice counts!” I picked this poem because this poem really shows how Dr. Seuss is so creative, and his sense of humor is great for readers. Also my mom use to read this whole book to me every night I went to bed. Home

The Lorax Dr. Seuss “I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees. I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues.” “I meant no harm. I most truly did not. But I had to grow bigger. So bigger I got.” “UNLESS someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” I picked this poem because I was going for a Dr. Seuss kind of theme so I started reading his poems and I liked this one a lot, I like how it sounds and how it flows. Home

My Sonnet Basketball players are ready for their game. They shoot and dribble it for every point. All of the players are looking for the pride and fame. Every single fan is jumping around. Coaches make up the play for their offense. They run the play so perfectly. The fans are still in their seats chanting loud. The home team played very well. The game was tied at eighty three all. The fourth quarter was coming to a close. Home team players on the court had the ball. Nobody in the place had moved. As time expired, the last shot was made. They won, were champs, and had a big party. Home
