3 Government definition: Binge drinking is drinking more than twice the daily recommended daily amount (RDA) of alcohol at least once a week. RDA for men = 3-4 units per day RDA for women = 2-3 units per day ‘Drinking large amounts of alcohol in a short amount of time with aim to get drunk’
