3. About website Music and Memory is a non-profit organization that allows patients in nursing homes to listen to personalized music on iPods. Allows you to volunteer, get trained, give an iPod, donate money, and most importantly educate yourself on the importance of this wonderful organization. Issue with original website Although they do a great job of providing ways to donate and volunteer, they don’t provide information on specific events and areas close by that one can get involved in. If they included more information on local events, perhaps the organization would become better well known. They would then be more likely to achieve their goal of providing the elderly in nursing homes with personalized iPod playlists to improve the quality of life for those struggling with Alzheimer’s.

6. Why it’s important Music therapy is an alternative method of treatment that can activate memories and improve overall happiness of those suffering from Alzheimer’s. Research suggests that the use of individualized music playlists is cheap and effective. If this organization became better known, there could be a significant improvement in health care for the aging population.
