5 Food Urchins are omnivores ▫ Mostly seaweed Stars are carnivores / scavengers ▫ Mussels, clams, oysters, dying fish Some rays, sharks and other large, bony fish are predators. Crabs will pick off urchins’ spines to get to the flesh.
