1 Option 1: Yerevan City Tour Yerevan is the capital and largest city of Armenia. It’s also one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. The city has been the capital of Armenia since 1918. City tour will include stops at the most famous sights in Yerevan, such as Cascade, Circle Garden, Parliament, Lovers' Park, Yerevan State University, church of St. Gregory the Illuminator, City Hall of Yerevan, Republic Square fountains. Visit to Matenadaran. It is an ancient manuscript repository under the Government of the Republic of Armenia, which is one of the largest repositories of manuscripts in the world. Visit to TUMO Center For Creative Technologies. It is a free of charge digital media learning center. It has provided thousands of students aged 12–18 an open environment where they can use the latest in digital tools, learn from media professionals, and explore the intersection of technology and art. 2 Option 2: Etchmiadzin - Zvartnots- Hripsime (Full day) Visit to the Brandy factory “Ararat”, Ararat has preserved the traditions of the legendary brandy manufacturing since 1887 when a merchant named Nerses Tairyan built the first wine and brandy factory in Yerevan. In 1899 the company was acquired by a Russian industrial company “Shustov and Sons”. Now Yerevan Brandy Factory is owned and operated by the French giant Pernod Ricard. Visit to Hripsime, the church was erected in 395 AD and contained the remains of the martyred Saint Hripsimé to who the church was dedicated to. The structure was completed in the year 618 AD. This church together with other nearby sites is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit to Etchmiadzin, the spiritual capital of all Armenians. Excursion in the Cathedral (301-303 AD.), the first Christian cathedral in the world. Visit to Zvartnots Cathedral. It is a 7th century cathedral built by the order of Catholicos Nerses the Builder in 643-652. Now in ruins, it is situated at the boundary of the city of Etchmiadzin. 6 Option 6: Khor Virap (Half day) Departure to the monastery Khor Virap, which is located at the foot of Ararat Mountain, one of the shrines of the Armenian Apostolic Church, a place of pilgrimage. The monastery is located above the underground prison, in which the Armenian king Trdat III prisoned St. Gregory for 13 years before adopting Christianity in 301 AD Visit to the Monastery of Khor Virap, descent into an underground dungeon.
