2 A reference angle is the smallest positive angle formed by the terminal side of the angle and the x- axis. We can sketch the angle in standard position and then determine how far it lies from the x-axis.

3 Sketch the angle, then determine the measure of the reference angle you would use to evaluate. Then evaluate using your calculator. Round to 4 decimals. (make sure to look at units) 1.2.
