12 Issues and challenges Additional requirements imposed to the proponent for VFP-PO financing assistance which are not in the guidelines, e.g. Interim Financial Statement/ materials quotations, affidavits etc., that prolong the evaluation. This resulted to backing-out of proponents for VFP-PO financing assistance (Venzons Manufacturing, Ark Precision and F.G. Avendano Machineries) that has a specific timeframe needs to be processed on a short period of time if not, will result to an expired/invalidate submitted POs. Venture Financing Program

13 Issues and challenges Opportunity to promote/ introduce the VFP (Regular/ P.O.) specifically in the Regional activities. Harmonize guidelines between TAPI and SETUP should be finalized to delineate the assistance coverage. Identify alternative person who will orient the proponent for the salient provisions of the MOA for the approved projects under VFP for implementation aside from Legal Officer e.g. FAD Chief/ Division Chief of IBOD.

32 Other accomplishments Commercializing DOST Generated Technologies: 2. OL Trap Supplier of OL Trap for Mercury Drug Store: Mr. Leopoldo M. Medoza, President, Heritage Veterinary Corporation (HVC), #392 San Gabriel, Sta. Maria, Bulacan. HVC has already produced 41,000 units distributed to schools under a DOH supported roll out project. 5,000 more schools will be served up to March 2016. PCCI Collaboration Scheduled for championing in City of Manila

33 Other accomplishments Commercializing DOST Generated Technologies: 3. Complementary Foods FNRI is already a member of a TWG that identifies food package for disaster stricken area. DReAMB and FNRI are meeting regularly and agreed initially that canned laing and pinakbet shall be included in the family food pack. TAPI secured from FNRI provided list of technology adoptors that can be assisted thru VFP
