5 5 Committee Scope The Traffic Control Devices (TCD) Committee promotes the development, design, application, and evaluation of traffic control devices and their effect on traffic operations and safety by disseminating knowledge through research papers, presentations, and other activities. 6 6 Committee Goals Significantly improve the communication and dissemination of state-of- the-art information about traffic control devices through presentation and publication of research at the TRB Annual Meeting, the TCD mid-year meeting(s) and/or teleconferences, and at other venues.
