3 ProGED HCD Strategy Objective “To increase the effectiveness of ProGED by developing, integrating, and implementing an HCD Strategy that addresses the critical learning and innovation requirements necessary to achieve the objective and outcomes set in the project.”

4 Development of the ProGED HCD Strategy

5 HCD Strategy Develop the capacities of key individuals in the project with focus on the following areas GED Strategies, Policies, Approaches, Models for MSMEs at National, Regional, and Local Levels GED Good Practices at Firm and Industry Levels appropriate for MSMEs Computing for the Economic Benefits of GED at a Firm Level Acquiring Basic Walk-Through Capacities for Assessing GED Levels in Enterprises Green Financing Mechanisms GED Orientation Training

6 HCD Strategy Utilize the most appropriate HCD formats for delivering competency requirements and at a location best suited vis- à-vis objective, content, and economic aspect. Example: Learning Visit for Best Practices on a Firm Level – Philippines, and/ or Asia Economic Benefits Training – Philippines Learning Visits

8 GED Orientation Training 5-Day Pilot Orientation Training on GED held from 30 June to 4 July 2014 at West Gorordo Hotel, Cebu City, Philippines 26 DTI staff members as participants: – Regional Directors (30 June – 1 July), – Provincial Directors, and – Green Focal Persons from ProGED pilot areas Cebu and Bohol as well as seven replication sites (Agusan del Norte, Albay, Laguna, Pampanga, NOcc, NOr, Palawan)
