2. When did the World War began? The First World War began when Britain and Germany went to war in August 1914, and Prime Minister Andrew Fisher's government pledged full support for Britain. The outbreak of war was greeted in Australia, as in many other places, with great enthusiasm.

3. The reason why Gallipoli happened The reason to fight the Gallipoli campaign is in two parts. One, the British wanted to capture the Ottoman Empire's capital, and two, they wanted to secure their trading route with Russia.

4. Where did the battle of Gallipoli happened? The Gallipoli Campaign, also known as the Dardanelles Campaign or the Battle of Gallipoli, took place at the peninsula peninsula of Gallipoli in the ottoman empire (in the modern turkey)

5. When did the war of Gallipoli start? The Gallipoli campaign began on the 25th off April 1915. Several thousand Anzac soldiers were killed on the first day. After 8 months of intense fighting the Allie forces withdrew. This withdrawal is sometimes regarded as the most success

6. The attack of the Gallipoli Churchill’s idea was simple. Creating another front would force the Germans to split their army still further as they would need to support the badly rated Turkish army. When the Germans went to assist the Turks, that would leave their lines weakened in the west or east and lead to greater mobility there as the Allies would have a weakened army to fight against.The Turks had joined the Central Powers in November 1914 and they were seen by Churchill as being the weak underbelly of those who fought against the Allies.

Strategy and operations by the British were pathetic showing the same lack of brilliance shown on the Western front. Actually the Turks did pretty well though they were commanded by German Field Marshalls. About 100,000 people. When we had a chance to take over the Turks, the English turned up 4 hours late(probly having a tea party) while the Anzac's fought on alone loosing thousands of people that day. Some parts of the above answer is incorrect, The Turkish suffered the biggest loss with approx 86,000 soldiers then The British and Irish approx 21,000 + followed by the French approx 10,000, Australia approx 8,500 New Zealand 2,700 not forgetting the Indian, Ceylon, Gurkhas

8. How did the war end? After a major destruction and a lot of people died he Gallipoli landing and invasion was a terrible event. It ended on the 9th of January 1916 after a year of bombing the Turks (and getting bombed!) It started on the 25th of April in 1915. Australia and Britain were the main involvement.
