The Willful Suspension of Disbelief: –This happens when we accept things happening in a movie that we know can’t happen in real life. –If it’s too far out or the movie has a goof (like a visible boom mic), this “kicks out” and we don’t like the movie. –Willful suspension of disbelief is helped by music, SFX, etc. Music can make a film memorable, or it can ruin it.
