2.  Is it the fruit of the Holy Spirit? Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

3.  Is it the fruit of evangelism? Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." 1 Tim. 1:15 It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. Act 20:24 "But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.

4.  Is it the fruit of discipleship? Yes, indeed! Mat 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, (20) teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

5. John 15:8 “…that you bear much fruit … 16 “…that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain… 20 A slave is not greater than his master. 27 and you will testify also, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

6.  The mission is for everyone, all inclusive. vs. 2  The mission is relentless. vss. 2, 5, 8  The mission deals with words. vss. 3, 7, 20, 27  The mission finds its source and reliance in Jesus. vss. 4 - 7  The mission is enveloped in Love. vss. 9 - 15

7. The mission is discipleship, making fruit after our own kind — Christians. The fruit is external, to be sure. It is not the inward quality of the branches — but fruit on (outside) the branches. The salvation of this lost world is the main event! Reproduction and growth of the family of God is clearly seen as a metaphor in relation to our own families — reproduction and growth. We both reproduce and insist that they follow the head of the family — Christ/ dad. vss. 8, 16; Lk. 19:47; Acts 17:11; 19:10; 20:31-32
