1 Comparison of the worldwide weighted WLTP database and EU regional database with WLTC rev3 and further modifications performed by JARI, JRC and HS Heinz Steven 22.11.2011 WLTP

Assessment criteria 2 The assessment is based on comparisons between the databases and the cycles per vehicle speed class. The comparison includes the following parameter:  Average values of a_pos, v*a_pos, RPA  Distributions of v,  Distributions of a and v*a for positive accelerations,  Sum of least squares,  Estimates for hot CO2 emissions.

Average values 3 Figure 1 shows a comparison of average a_pos values. Figure 2 shows a comparison of average v*a_pos values. Figure 3 shows a comparison of RPA values. WLTC rev2 means the cycle version tested within validation step 1. WLTC rev3 111108 means the cycle version as presented by Japan during the DHC web conference at 07.11.2011. WLTC v3 HS_JP_HS4 means the result of several iterative modification steps performed by JARI, JRC and HS.

Comparison of RPA values 6 Figure 16

Vehicle speed distributions 7 Figures 4 to 7 show comparisons of the vehicle speed distributions between databases and cycles for the 4 speed classes. Figures 8 to 11 show corresponding comparisons of the positive acceleration distributions. Figures 12 to 15 show corresponding comparisons of the positive v*a distributions.

Comparison of estimates for hot CO2 emissions 20 Estimates of the hot CO2 emissions for the databases as well as for the cycles are shown in table 1.

Comparison of Sums of least squares between database and cycle 22 The sum of least squared differences between database and cycle distributions are shown in table 2. All means negative and positive values, pos means positive values only. Stop phases are disregarded in any case.
