2 RESPECT YOURSELF Rule: I will come to class prepared.
Consequence: Complete a reflection and action plan outlining how you will stay on task Consequence: Partner with a classmate for one week and practice preparation skills Consequence: Note in agenda Consequence: Phone call Rule: I will complete my class and homework assignments. Consequence: Complete assignments during free time Consequence: Student/parent phone call Consequence: Design and implement a plan of action Rule: I will dress appropriately (in uniform). Consequence: Monitor appropriate dress for entire class Consequence: Plan of action for next day Consequence: Ask another student to model uniform expectations Consequence: Phone call home to acquire appropriate clothing Consequence: Conference with administration Rule: I will actively participate and try my best. Consequence: Redirect behavior, discuss how to prevent in the future Consequence: Warning Consequence: Written action plan signed by student Consequence: Parent/Student/Teacher conference to discuss and revise contract Rule: I will be a model of excellent behavior for the entire school. Consequence: Redirect, discuss how to prevent Consequence: Group conference (Student, teacher, parent, and/or admin.) to discuss plan of action

3 Respect each other Rule: I will treat all people and their property with respect. Consequence: Friendly reminder Consequence: Create a personal definition of respect and share with class Consequence: Compliment or do something nice for the person disrespected Consequence: If necessary, replace or fix damaged property. Rule: I will listen to others’ opinions. Consequence: Sit next to someone at lunch and have a friendly conversation. Be able to report 3 things from conversation. Consequence: Student teacher brainstorming session – good listening skills – sign as listening contract Consequence: Phone Call Rule: I will use self-control when I communicate with others. Consequence: Warning Consequence: Practice Communicating with another student (how to session) Consequence: Written/Verbal apology to person Consequence: Action plan to improve future behavior Rule: I will keep my hands, feet, and objects to myself. Consequence: Phone call home Consequence: Conversation with teacher Consequence: Written/Verbal apology to person disrespected * Please remember via school policy that fighting results in automatic 5 days suspension

4 Respect our school Rule: I will keep the classrooms and common areas clean. Consequence: Practice cleaning room during free time Consequence: Assist custodians or cafeteria employees in maintaining school cleanliness. Consequence: Note in agenda Consequence: Parent/student/teacher phone call Rule: I will admire student work in the halls and classrooms with my eyes only. Consequence: Friendly reminder Consequence: Repair loose work on bulletin boards around school. Consequence: Write an apology or compliment manhandled work. Rule: I will use all technology properly and with permission. Consequence: Clean computers in labs and/or classrooms Consequence: Partner with someone who uses a computer respectfully Consequence: Create an action plan and test on plan. Technology privileges suspended until successful creation and mastery of plan. Consequence: Conference with administration Rule: I will transition from class to class and throughout the school responsibly. Consequence: Warning Consequence: Phone call Consequence: Practice transitioning responsibly during free time Consequence: Assist lower grade(s) during transitions.
