What difference has Jesus Christ made in Your Life? 1

Eph. 4:32 And Be Ye Kind One to another 2

Look at the things we must do for one another 1. John 13:34-35 We are to love one another 2. Rom. 12:10 We are told to be affectionate to one another, and Honor one another. 3. Gal.5:13 We are to serve one another 3

4. We are to bear with one another. Eph. 4:2 5. We are to submit to one another. Eph.5:21 6. We are to be kind to one Another. Eph. 4:32 4

Eph. 4:31 5 1. Let all bitterness, and 2. wrath, and 3. anger, and 4. clamour, and 5. evil speaking, be put away from you, 6. with all malice:

Bitterness = a heart ready to take offence at any word or act; the opposite of kindness and longsuffering Wrath = worse than anger; outburst of rage fed by bitterness 6

Anger = a strong feeling of displeasure brought about by a wrong or a supposed wrong Clamor = the out crying of anger; opposite of calmness and gentleness 7

Evil speaking = to utter words against God or man; the opposite of the Golden Rule Malice = the desire that another person be hurt; ill-will toward another; 8

It can fester and smolder in the heart/mind of man until it destroys ones peace of mind and soul 9

Eph. 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. 10

Authority is established by: 1. A direct command 2. An apostolic example 3. A necessary inference 11

Here in this verse: A direct command: “Be ye(you) kind” 12

How many Christians do you know that are KIND? 13

To whom are we suppose to be kind ? One another … 1. Fellow workers/employees and employers 2. Your friends 3. Your enemies 4. To your family 14

Sometimes we can be very harsh/cruel/hurtful… And we know it!!!! A) The husband/wife to each other Eph.4:32 B) The children/grandchildren Eph.4:32 C) To fathers/mothers; Eph.4:32 15

Being Unkind 1. Words you say about others.. Sometimes directed right at Them. 16

2. Words indirectly said that It is obviously meant for you. a) A husband– to his wife… Wish you were like her..another’s wife! b)A wife—to her husband.. Why can’t you be kind like him??? 17

Don’t like an elder..say something hurtful to him. Don’t like a preacher..say something directly or indirectly 18

Words intended to hurt…. Instead of healing, helping, Soothing…causes pain you have Inflicted upon another. BE YE KIND ONE TO ANOTHER 19

How can we overcome this fault? 1. Recognize that we consciously or unconsciously Are guilty. Rom. 6:23; 2. Ask God to forgive you, and Do everything you can to Do unto others as you would that they should do unto you. Matt. 7:12 20

Is it a sign of weakness to To be kind?????? NO WAY! Paul said : Eph.4:32 Macho man Liberated woman 21

Road Rage A little 4 year old girl died Because of road rage…. All over someone not being Kind, considerate… 22

Connected with Kindness is Forgiveness Eph. 4:32 Why? Because we all Must forgive to be forgiven. Matt. 6:12 “And forgive us our Debts, as we forgive our debtors.” for: 23

Matt. 6:14,15 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But If ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. 24

Kindness leads to wask: Why Should We Forgive? 1. Because we have been forgiven The fact that we have received mercy should teach us to give mercy 25

Mt. 18:33-35 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 26

And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses 27

2. We often stand in need of forgiveness From the Lord From our fellow man 28

Mt. 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. 29

3. That we may experience the joy known only to the forgiving heart There is no joy in ill-will - spite 30

4. That others may have joy The greatest need of the world is forgiveness Hearts hunger for it and rejoice when it is forgiven 31

Being Kind and forgiving is: 5. It is Christ-like Lk. 23:34 “Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.” 32

How We Should Forgive From the heart Mt. 18:35 “So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.” 33

To forgive is to forget Heb. 8:12 “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.” 34

Without limit (No degrees of forgiveness) Mt. 18:21-22 “Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” 35

As Christ forgives He forgives the darkest sins; completely; freely 36

Eph. 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you 37

The Evil Of Unkindness and Unforgiveness It strangles the best within us – crucifies the higher self 38

It breaks the heart to pieces, wrecks one’s health etc. 39

Being Unkind and Unforgiving does… It crushes friendships “Like a prison-wall, it isolates us from humanity and from God, giving to life a loneliness. --- God does not forgive the unforgiving” Frank L. Cox 41

Conclusion Joseph forgave his brothers and did them good. “He spoke kindly unto them” Gen. 50:15-21 David forgave Saul who was trying to kill him. I Sam. 24:8-12 Our Lord and Savior forgave his bitter enemies. Luke 23:34 42

And be YE KIND one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ Sake has forgiven you. 43
