3 The Frequency of Prayer (Ephesians 6:18)
Early Christians prayed continually (Acts 2:42; 12:12-15; Romans 12:12; Colossians 4:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:17) Meaningful repetition is appropriate (Matthew 6:5-8; 1 Kings 18:26; Mark 14:39; Corinthians 12:8) When our minds are set on things above, every experience calls us to prayer (Colossians 3:2)

4 Spirit Empowered Prayer (Ephesians 6:18)
Not a reference to praying in tongues (1 Corinthians 12:30; 14:12-14) Prayer is facilitated by the Spirit and conforms to His will and purpose (Romans 8:26-28; Ephesians 2:18) The spirit of the warrior is fully involved (Romans 1:9; 12:11-12; John 4:24; 1 Corinthians 6:20)

5 ALL Prayer & Supplication (Ephesians 6:18)
All sorts of prayer may offered in all sorts of places for all sorts of people (2 Timothy 2:1-8) All kinds of prayer, offered everywhere and always, reflect constant fellowship with God (Psalm 73:23-24)

6 Watchful & Persevering (Ephesians 6:18)
Alert and vigilant (Mark 12:33; Matthew 26:41) Constantly persevering (Luke 11:9; 18:7-8) Praying for specific things (Colossians 1:9-12) Praying with a spiritual focus (1 Cor. 1:4-7; Philippians 1:9-11; 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12)

7 “For All the Saints” (Ephesians 6:18)
These are your fellow soldiers Prayers are focused on others as much as on self (James 5:13-20) Prayers for evangelists who are constantly wielding the sword of the Spirit are especially needed (Ephesians 6:19; Colossians 4:2-4)
