How the Justice System Failed Ronald Cotton GINA SYLVESTER-GRECCO

Opposing View Is it really only the Justice System’s fault or is Jennifer Thompson to blame? Jennifer picked Ronald’s photo in the line-up Jennifer chose Ronald at the physical line-up Jennifer continued to say Ronald was definitely her perpetrator

The Justice System’s Mistakes Allowed a bias line-up for both photo and physical Relied heavily on eye witness testimony Blinded by racist stereo types Ignored attempts for more trials Ignored new compelling evidence

The Justice System’s Mistakes Continued Ronald Cotton was number 5 Bobby Poole Ronald Cotton

Conclusion The job of the Justice System is to have a non bias voice to protect the innocent. In Ronald Cotton’s case they did not investigate his evidence thoroughly enough to prove his innocence. The witness, Jennifer, can’t be blamed for what she believed to be true. The court’s purpose is to figure out if their story is what really happened.
